Hello, my name is Jeff Ivanhoe. 33 years ago, I had an idea to create mosaic tiles from aluminum cans. After all, they are very colorful and their metallic property makes for a unique style of art. Well, after some experimentation, I discovered that creating these mosaic works from aluminum cans was not difficult at all. Once I created my first mosaic, I was stunned by the reaction from my friends and family. They couldn’t believe how beautiful the mosaic was and the metallic properties of the tiles looked magnificent in different types of light. So I decided to call this craft – AluMosaics™.
These mosaics are so unique, that it was featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
Since then, I have made many AluMosaic creations as both a hobby and for various organizations, (visit the Gallery page to see some of my work). Every where I went, people were asking me, “how did you do that?” or “can you teach me how to make them?” Over the years, I have taught a number of students the art of AluMosaics. Finally, after years of requests, I decided to make an educational DVD that teaches the complete art of my AluMosaics. I have partnered with Amazon.com to bring the art of AluMosaics directly to your home, (the DVD is shipped by Amazon from their warehouse).
In the DVD, I will:
